About This Course
My take on Martis Camp in Truckee, California, the Round 32 vote winner. Tom Fazio built it in the Martis Valley between Truckee and Northstar at around 6,000 feet, and it is about as pure a Sierra mountain course as you will find. Wide fairways cut through stands of tall firs, granite outcroppings and rocky native waste right off the edges, big elevation swings, and greens that let you run the ball in if you pick the right side. This one got the full treatment, including a custom replica clubhouse sitting up on the rock above the closing stretch. Thin mountain air, so expect the ball to travel. One of my favorite builds so far.
