How to Download and Install GSPro Courses
Free courses, members-only courses, and what to do when one will not show up. Written by a designer who has shipped 221+ of them.
The short version
GSPro downloads and installs courses inside the game. Open the course list, search the course by name, and click download, the file lands in the right place on its own. Members-only courses work the same way once you enter your Tekbud course server code in GSPro's game settings. There is no mod manager, no zip file, and nothing to copy by hand.
Downloading free GSPro courses
Over 100 Tekbud courses sit in GSPro's public library at no cost. No membership, no code, four steps.
Open GSPro and go to the course list
Launch GSPro on your simulator PC and open the course library from the main menu. This is the same list you pick from before a round, it doubles as the download screen.
Search the course by name
Type the name into the search box. Tekbud's free builds are listed under their course name, the same names you see in the Tekbud course library.
Hit download
GSPro pulls the course down and installs it for you. No files to move, no zip to extract, no mod manager. Give it a couple of minutes on a big build.
Tee it up
The course now shows in your list permanently. Play it solo, in a multiplayer room, or as part of a RISE challenge.
Installing members-only GSPro courses
The members-only catalog is delivered through a course server code tied to your Patreon membership. Most people are playing within five minutes.
Join the Tekbud Patreon
Membership is what unlocks the members-only half of the library, 100 courses that are not in GSPro's public list, plus RISE career mode.
Grab your course server code from your email
Right after you join you get an email with a code specific to you. It is yours and it does not change, so save it somewhere. If you lose it, it is always available on Patreon.
Enter the code in GSPro settings
Open GSPro's game settings and paste the code into the course server field. Enter it exactly as written, a mistyped code fails quietly rather than throwing an error.
Restart GSPro and open the course list
After the restart, the full members-only catalog appears alongside the free courses. Everything is browsable and downloadable in-game.
Download whatever you want
Same as the free flow, search, click, play. Not sure where to start? The best GSPro courses list is a good first nine.
What you need before you download anything
GSPro on a Windows PC
GSPro is Windows only. Courses install through the game, so the license has to be live on the machine you are playing on.
A GPU that can hold up
Custom courses carry far more environment art than stock builds. An RTX-class card is the difference between beautiful and stuttering, the golf simulator setup guide has the specs I actually recommend.
A launch monitor (eventually)
You can walk a course in GSPro's mouse mode without one. To actually play, you need a supported monitor, see the launch monitor picks for what works at each budget.
When a course will not download
The course does not appear after entering your code
Re-check the code against the one in your email or on Patreon, confirm the membership is active, then fully close and reopen GSPro. The list only refreshes on launch.
The download starts and then stalls
Reboot your PC and your router, then retry. A stalled download is nearly always the connection, not the course.
The download is blocked or never finishes
Check your antivirus. Some suites quietly block GSPro's downloader. Temporarily disable it to test, and whitelist GSPro if that turns out to be the cause.
You are on a launch monitor that will not connect
That is a hardware and setup question rather than a course one. The setup guide covers which monitors work cleanly with GSPro and what PC actually runs these courses well.

GSPro course download FAQ
Do I need a mod manager or any extra software to install GSPro courses?
No. GSPro has a course library built into the game. You search for a course, click download, and it installs itself. There is no mod manager, no third-party launcher, and nothing to unzip. Tekbud courses, free and members-only, all arrive the same way.
Do I have to copy course files into a folder myself?
Not for Tekbud courses. Everything is delivered through GSPro's own course server, so the game handles the download and puts the files where they belong. Manual file copying only comes up with courses distributed as loose zip files from elsewhere, and none of ours are.
How long does a course take to download?
Usually a couple of minutes on a normal home connection. Courses with heavy custom environment art take longer than a stock build. If a download stalls or crawls, it is almost always the connection or antivirus rather than GSPro, reboot the router and try again.
Can I download Tekbud courses without joining the Patreon?
Yes. Over 100 Tekbud courses are free inside GSPro's public course library, no membership needed, just search the name and download. The members-only half of the library unlocks with a Patreon membership and a course server code.
I entered my member code and the courses still are not showing. What now?
Check three things in order: that the code was entered exactly as it appears in your email, that your membership is currently active, and that you fully restarted GSPro after entering it. Your code does not change while you are a member, so a code that used to work and suddenly does not usually means the membership lapsed. If all three check out, contact us and we will sort it.
Does any of this work on a Mac?
GSPro is Windows only. Some players run it through Boot Camp or Parallels, but a native Windows PC is what you want for a simulator, both for GSPro itself and for the launch monitor software that talks to it.
What happens to the members-only courses if my membership lapses?
You lose them. The members-only library is playable only while your Patreon membership is active, that applies to courses you already downloaded, not just new ones. The free Tekbud courses are different: those live in GSPro's public library and stay in your list whether you are a member or not.
Setting a sim up for a kid? Everything above works the same way, and RISE Kids turns those courses into a career mode for ages 6 to 14.
