About This Course
My replica of Holly Ridge Golf Links in Archdale, North Carolina, a commissioned build shared with members as a bonus course. Jim Bivins designed it in 1994, a public layout with a links-style feel, plenty of water, a big lake crossed by two wooden bridges, and wind that keeps you guessing. Par 72 and 6,536 yards from the black tees, with seven sets of tees down to junior and par 3. I built a replica of the clubhouse, put the whiskey barrel hole signs on every tee, and filled it with life: traffic on U.S. 311, golfers pulling into the lot, geese on the ponds, deer in the fields, and cloud shadows drifting across the course.
